Just a quick post about a recent accomplishment.
I had set myself a goal to do a 5k in 23 minutes. This past Saturday, I was supposed to do a 5k race for my training instead of my usual long run. I couldn't enter an actual race because of work, but my boyfriend and I decided to do a 5k just the two of us to try to get me to reach my goal.
I pushed myself to run the 3.1 miles a lot faster than my usual pace, and we ended up running it in 22:08!
It felt so good to push myself and to surpass my goal! Woooo! Now, if only I could maintain that kind of pace for long distances. I don't know how people go that fast (and way faster) all the time, but I'm gonna keep trying!!
